Corbon Reducing Policy

The first step to reducing emissions is knowing how much carbon your business emits. We know
that emissions have a significant impact on the world around us. How can we reduce the amount
of carbon that is emitted?

Toyop (TRPL) promotes dialogue among the employees through
practices and policies around sustainability. These are some of the practices the employees of
TRPL are encouraged to actively participate in:

❖ Have a recycling programme for waste paper, cardboard, cans & bottles. We always opt for
reducing and reusing first, as these practices skim the excess.

❖ Avoid use of disposable paper, plastic, foam cups & plates.

❖ Use of aerosol sprays & fire extinguishers that contain CFCs is restricted.

❖ Water has to used economically & wastage in all forms has to be avoided.

❖ All cleaning liquids have to be environmentally friendly.

❖ Energy consumption has to be monitored on monthly basis & ways to reduce energy
consumption by using high-efficiency lighting and powering off all electronics when not in use
is encouraged.

❖ We use Green Freeze refrigerators, used to stay cool using naturally occurring hydrocarbons
that are far less potent than HFCs and do not break down into toxins. Smart refrigerators are
also an accessible alternative we are looking for.

❖ Waste produced has to be segregated into dry & wet and disposed of accordingly.
TRPL reduces the carbon waste by purchasing from other businesses that support local farmers
and the community, we are indirectly reducing food waste by minimizing transportation in the
food system.

We have purchased an offset, for funding projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, carbon
offsets do not reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere – they act as a balancing agent to
negate the carbon emitted. TRPL has made investment in Renewable Energy like Solar and Wind.
We also make our customers aware of our policies to reduce carbon emissions and also
encourage them to share their policy.
